Clutter Free Family

How to Live Life Collecting Moments Not Things

Start Here

Do you dream of a life without hours of cleaning on the weekends?  Where you can walk into a room without having a list of ten things to do running through your head?  Less laundry?  More time to do what you love?

In November 2011, our family got really serious about decluttering.  We had our ups and downs, but by 2015 we were ready to give most everything up.  We are currently living out of a camper trailer travelling around Australia for 12 months.

As a family with three young children, most people said it was going to be impossible to live simply.  What about their LEGO?  What about craft supplies, puzzles, books, and all the birthday presents?  But none of that matters once you recognise other priorities in life.

We have found so much contentment in living with less and can’t wait to share our stories and secrets with you.  To read more about us, click here.

If you are just beginning your journey to decluttering your life, here are some posts to get started with:

What is Clutter?

Why Things Needed To Change

Why I Rather Collect Moments Not Things

Once we have covered the basics, let’s delve into the deeper stuff.

It is not easy to go against the trend in society of more, more, more… but it is possible!  With passion, practical information, and a steady stream of inspiration to keep you motivated – we hope your family will be on the way to living clutter free very soon.

Here we offer three types of resources for your clutter free journey:

#1 Clutter Free Inspiration for Grown-Ups.

In these posts you can find featured articles and/or videos that challenge the traditional thinking about “stuff.”  When we question our choices instead of doing things out of habit, we can work towards creating a life we love.  There are also some personal reflections about why living clutter free leads to a more joyful, fulfilling life.

#2 Clutter Free Inspiration for Kids.

Living clutter free is a lifestyle choice, and it is easiest if everyone in the household is working to maintain it.  These posts can help you open discussions with your kids and aspire towards clutter free living together.  They feature videos, activities, conversation starters and more.

#3 Clutter Free Family Fun!

If you aren’t going to spend your time organising a house full of stuff or playing with the latest toy available at Target, what will you do??  We share a new clutter free entertainment idea for the family every week or so – check out the archives here.

Are you ready to live life clutter free?

I am so excited for you!  Unfortunately you will not magically create a clutter free life by reading these posts, or even thinking about them.  The life work is up to you.  If you are really ready to dig deep and make some life changes, keep following and I hope you will become inspired by what you find here.
